Product Description
Created in honor of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS), the Boker Plus Seenotretter 01 embodies the uncompromising reliability demanded by crews who brave the North and Baltic Seas around the clock. For more than 158 years, the Seenotretter have risked their lives to save others—fully independent, volunteer-driven, and funded solely through donations. This knife reflects the same spirit of professionalism, durability, and purpose.
Designed as a classic, no-nonsense tackle knife, the Seenotretter 01 is constructed entirely from stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance in harsh marine environments. The primary blade, made from 1.4116 stainless steel, features partial serration for effortlessly cutting wet, encrusted, or tensioned ropes. A robust marlin spike excels at loosening hardened knots and integrates both a shackle opener and bottle opener for added functionality.
Both tools operate on a solid slipjoint mechanism with dome-head studs, offering high resistance to dirt, salt, and mechanical stress. The front scale proudly bears the Hanseatic cross, the emblem of the DGzRS. A deep-carry pocket clip (tip-up/r) and a large lanyard eyelet ensure secure carry on deck, on land, or in demanding emergency situations.
